SUMMARY:Luncheon Lectures ~ Problem-Solving Court~
DESCRIPTION:Emmet County’s 57th Circuit Court will launch a new DWI/Drug Problem-Solving Court in January 2024. This hybrid specialty court will provide an alternative to the traditional sanction-based criminal justice model for drug and alcohol offenders. To help the community learn about this new court\, Circuit Judge Jennifer Deegan and the Community Recovery Alliance in Petoskey have partnered to bring Dr. Alex Elswick of the University of Kentucky to speak at this special Luncheon Lecture program. Dr. Elswick is a trained researcher\, recovery coach and mental health therapist\, as well as the co-founder of Voices of Hope\, a peer-driven recovery community organization. \nYour $15 fee includes a buffet lunch beginning at 11:30 am\, lecture begins at noon.\n \nNote: At this time\, masks are optional inside NCMC facilities. \nCancellations are non-refundable within 48 hours of this event. \n  \nSponsored By:\nCommunity Recovery Alliance\nNorthern Michigan Opioid Response Consortium
